GRDGDC premnagr Dehradun, celebrated Dussehra Festival.
With huge enthusiasm this pious festival was celebrated by Girl’s hostel of the College. The celebrations,started with Ekta sharing the real story and importance behind the Deshera festival. Anshul organised an question answer game on ” Ramayana ” where she gave prizes to the student with correct answer. Divyayoti,sang a melodious bhajan on,’kabhi raam banke kabhi sham banke chale aana’.
Students made mannequins of Raavana,Meghnath, Kumbhkaran and also enacted certain scenes from Lord Rama’s life. Mannequins made by the students were later lit on fire as a ritual by Principal Dr priyanka singh,who shared his views about this festival. ” Deshera is synonym for good winning over bad,which also depicts how people with cruel intention wont win in this battle of life. We should celebrate this festival whole heartedly,so that we can stay closer to our roots “. Warm greetings were also given by College Management.
On this festive occasion Chief Director Lata Gupta grace the celebration with their presence.
