A well-stocked library for independent study is a unique feature of the institute. The library has an organized open access system to maintain records. Whole operation of the library is automated with the help of integrated library software.
At GRD, we have virtually redefined the meaning of the word ‘library’. In keeping with the demands of the 21st century, our on-campus library is stocked with massive knowledge and referral resources comparable to the best in the world, right from exhaustive subject-wise books to easy-to-read CD-ROMs and more. We have also put the world-wide-web at the disposal of the students to access education and research based websites 24 hours a day.

Our teaching faculty comprises of NET qualifiers, Ph.D Degree holders as well as teachers who are currently pursuing. Ph.D

Transport
GRD GIRLS DEGREE COLLEGE has its own fleet of buses which provide the transport facility from nearby cities to campus, from specific pickup points predefined as per the convenience of the students. Besides the campus is also very well-connected by the local public transports.
Transport facility is allotted on annual basis to students admitted for regular programmes for the duration of regular academic session. Transport facility is provided on ‘First Come First Serve’ basis. Routes and pick up points are indicative and are subject to change from time to time.
Cafetaria
Sufficient care is taken to ensure cleanliness and only healthy and wholesome vegetarian snacks are served. It is also ensured that items are priced as per the approved rate-list. A Cafeteria Committee consisting of faculty and students has been formed to monitor the activities. All types of continental food is prepared and provided to the students and the faculty.

Internet Centre
A Well-equipped computer centre is operational on all working days. A vital component of education in the present era is computer know-how. The practical and hands-on knowledge of the new subject related software is essential in this regard. As such a computer lab is equipped at GRD with required hardware and software sets. There is a free access to library, Computer lab which consists of Microsoft Windows XP Professional Operating system, Microsoft Office 2003/2007, Visual studio, Web Browser, Turbo C, Fortran and other Licensed Softwares. The hardware and software are calibrated from time to time to keep them in proper shape. All of these facilities are properly supervised and well maintained by our staff members.

Hostel
A Home away from home
One of the key contributors to an intensive learning experience is the process of living in a competitive campus environment. Our hostels are sun-shaded by greenery all around with lush green open space away from city noise and pollution. The excellent residential facilities have been carefully planned according to international standards, and structured to provide every comfort and a home-like feeling to the students.
Stringent, round-the-clock security arrangements and a doctor on call ensure that all students’ needs are attended to.
Residence hostels are the foundation upon which community and friendships are built. We consider the residential experience to be integral to life at GRD, and therefore have tried to provide 100% in-campus residential facility for all our students.
To begin with, the rooms are triple seated. They have been specifically designed in such a way that each student gets his/her own personal space without any disturbance from the other residents and yet it provides the opportunity for residents to have a common “hang out” space in their rooms. The hostel is provided with Water Coolers fitted with water purifiers. The community-living in the hostel provides the students with their social, recreational, emotional, intellectual, cultural and spiritual needs.
The hostels are provided with all the modern amenities. Each hostel is looked after by a Warden and Resident Tutors. The students are required to abide by the rules and regulations.
Health Services
Healthcare facility is available round-the-clock at GRD for both students and faculty as it is one of our major concerns.
The Health Centre conducts regular medical check-ups by resident and visiting doctors for students and staff.Through the Health Club, the Centre also organizes Awareness Meetings on particular health problems for the benefit of both faculty and students.

Theory Classes
Theory without the backup of hands-on experience is incomplete,

So that they can make use of the theoretical knowledge gained.
Demo Sessions
Demo session plays a very important role. These sessions help to bring out the best in our students and assist them to adopt immense confidence. We Work On Your Skills GRD believes in working on the overall development of the students including skill. We improve their talents and provide opportunities to develop new skills through running events on the campus during their tenure in our college at every level of study whether it is graduation or post-graduation. We allow exploring their creativity and showcasing their creativeness so that we can work on that. At present, industries require a lot of talent and a personality that attracts people as well as smart enough to make the work efficient.
In the demo session, we create a unique environment for the process of hiring. We prepare students for written test, GD rounds, Interview etc.
Laboratories
The college has developed labs for B.Sc., Home Science, physics, chemistry subjects to provide students with the best exposure and practical training.
Each lab is furnished with the latest equipment and machinery.
All the labs have been designed with a view to excel in research also along with the regular practical’s.
Safety And Security
The college considers the safety and security of the campus member’s integral to its educational goal. To ensure this, a dedicated professional team of security officers and security personnel perform their duties 24 x 7 in a diligent and an excellent manner. Other measures are also adopted to provide the students with a safe, secure, and congenial environment to study and work in.
